A rusted, leaking corrugated iron roof on a 1968 Gawler home. Stripped back to the frame, new battens and Monument Colorbond in 6 days.
The old iron had rusted through at the laps and fixings. Water was getting in along the valleys and running into the kitchen ceiling. The owner wanted it done before winter. We stripped it to the frame, replaced every batten, and installed new corrugated Colorbond with proper tie-downs for wind uplift.
Rusted sheets removed. The frame and battens inspected; the battens had been letting water sit for years.
New battens throughout, tie-downs and strapping to current Australian Standards for wind uplift resistance.
Monument corrugated Colorbond laid, new flashings, valleys and gutters. Insulation blanket included.
Waste removed, site clean, 10-year workmanship warranty in writing.
«Fixed price, fixed schedule. They said 4 days. It took 4 days. The roof looks brand new.»
